Xiaomi Redmi 3 smartphone was launched in January 2016. The phone comes with a 5.00-inch touchscreen display with a resolution of 720 pixels by 1280 pixels The Xiaomi Redmi 3 is powered by 1.2GHz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 616 processor and it comes with 2GB of RAM. The phone packs 16GB of internal storage that can be expanded up to 128GB via a microSD card. As far as the cameras are concerned, the Xiaomi Redmi 3 packs a 13-megapixel primary camera on the rear and a 5-megapixel front shooter for selfies. The Xiaomi Redmi 3 runs Android and is powered by a 4100mAh non removable battery. It measures 139.30 x 69.60 x 8.50 (height x width x thickness) and weighs 144.00 grams. The Xiaomi Redmi 3 is a dual SIM (GSM and GSM) smartphone that accepts Micro-SIM and Nano-SIM Connectivity options include Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth, FM, 3G, 4G (with support for Band 40 used by some LTE networks in India). The Xiaomi Redmi 3 flaunts a compact 5.0-inch IPS LCD display with a screen resolution of 720 x 1,280 pixels and has a pixel density of 294ppi. The display is protected by a scratch resistant glass as well. The phone sports a metal body and measures 8.5mm around the waist; in addition it is available in multiple colours. Acting as the backbone of the phone is a powerful 1.5GHz quad-core Cortex A53 and 1.2GHz quad-core processors seated on a MSM8939 Snapdragon 616 Chipset. Giving support to the processor is a 2GB RAM which makes sure the users get a lag free experience. The phone runs Android v5.1 Lollipop operating system.

Camera and Storage

The Redmi 3 makes sure the users get the best of camera experience as well and hence is equipped with a 13MP primary camera which comes with BSI sensor and Digital image stabilisation along with the LED flash stacked on the back of the phone. The front camera is of 5MP which works well to capture excellent images as well. The device houses an inbuilt memory of 16GB which can further be expanded up to 128GB via a hybrid SIM slot which can be used to insert a microSD card as well.
